Getting Started5 MIN READ
Setting up MYTH
The five-step onboarding wizard: trade columns, markets, session model, news config, and a final review.
Onboarding runs once, the first time you sign in, and lands you on
/onboarding. The five steps define the shape of your journal: which fields you record, which markets you trade, and how your results get sliced. Nothing here is permanent — you can change all of it later from your Strategy Library — but good defaults now save cleanup later. What you'll set up
- Your trade columns and the timezone your data is recorded in
- The markets you actively trade
- Your session model — the primary dimension your trades break down by
- News configuration (recommended or custom per market)
- A final review before you finish
INFO
The stepper at the top shows all five steps. Completed steps get a green check; you can jump back with the Back button at any time without losing what you entered.
Walkthrough
1Trade Columns
- Pick your Timezone first — this is how every trade date and time is interpreted, so set it before importing anything.
- Review the recommended columns. Each one has an Included / Excluded toggle — keep the defaults unless you know you'll never use a field.
- Need something specific to your process? Add a custom column with a Label, Description, and a type.
TIP
Mandatory columns (date, market, side, result, RR) are always on. The toggles only control the optional and recommended extras.
2Markets
- Markets are grouped by category — Forex, Indices, Commodities, Crypto, Stocks. Click a market card to select it; a checkmark confirms it's active.
- Only pick what you actually trade. You can activate more markets later from the Strategy Library.
3Session
- Choose your Primary dimension — Liquidity, Setup, or a custom column. This is the main axis your trades are grouped by across the app, so pick the thing you most want to analyse by.
- The required session fields (name, market, start date, end date) are shown for reference — every session you create will ask for these.
HEADS UP
The primary dimension shapes how analytics slices your trades. If you're unsure, Setup is the most common choice — it's easy to change later but cleaner to get right now.
4News Config
- Toggle Fundamental Results Mode if you want to track economic releases against your trades.
- Choose Use recommended configuration for sensible defaults, or Custom configuration to pick which news events matter per market.
TIP
Recommended is the right call for almost everyone at this stage. You can fine-tune events market-by-market later in News Configuration.
5Review
- The review screen summarises everything: your mandatory and included columns, session and markets, and your news mode.
- Scan it once, then click Finish to unlock the rest of the app.
Next steps
- Bring in your history — see Importing your trade history.
- Prefer to start fresh? Read Logging trades manually.
INFO
Inside the app, spotlight tours walk you through the Dashboard, Analytics, and more the first time you visit each page. This tutorial gets you set up; the tours show you around once you're in.
