Importing your trade history
Bring an Excel file into MYTH: upload, map columns, match values, validate the preview, and import.
The importer lives behind the Import Trades from Exceldialog, opened from the Trades page. It adapts to your file: most imports are four steps, but if your spreadsheet uses values MYTH doesn't recognise yet, a fifth value-mapping step appears. Nothing is written to your account until the final import.
Before you start
- Have an
.xlsxfile ready. The four fields MYTH must find are Date, MarketCode, Buy/Sell, and Result. - Everything else (time, setup, liquidity, RR, notes, images) is optional but maps the same way.
Walkthrough
1Upload & name the session
- On the Trades page, open the import dialog. Drag your
.xlsxinto the drop zone or click to browse. - Give the import a Session name. Optionally set a Start date and End date.
- The info banner reminds you of the required fields. Click Next once the file is loaded.
2Map your columns
- Under Column Mapping, match each MYTH field to a column from your spreadsheet using the dropdowns. The four required fields are marked with an asterisk.
- Map optional fields too if you have them — time, setup, liquidity, RR, notes, images.
- The status badge flips to Ready once all required fields are mapped. Click Preview.
TIP
If a field stays greyed out, double-check the header row in your spreadsheet — the importer reads column names from the first row.
3Match values (only if prompted)
- If your file uses market codes, setups, or liquidity labels MYTH hasn't seen, the Value Mapping step appears.
- For each unmatched value, pick the matching platform item from the dropdown — or choose Add to Strategy Library to create it on the fly.
- When the counter shows everything mapped, click Continue.
INFO
If MYTH already recognises every value, this step is skipped and you go straight to the preview.
4Validate the preview
- Preview & Validateruns automatically. A green "Ready to import" means you're clear; red flags list the rows that need attention.
- Scan the preview table to confirm the data landed in the right fields.
- Fix any errors (usually back in column or value mapping), then click Import.
HEADS UP
Validation must show zero errors before the Import button activates. This is deliberate — it stops bad data from polluting your stats.
After import
- MYTH creates the session and drops you on it — your trades are now live across Dashboard and Analytics.
