Replaying a session

Open the Replayer, drive playback, draw on the chart, and capture a screenshot — the essentials, keyboard-first.

The Replayer opens from a session or a single trade and replays price candle by candle. You can pause anywhere, draw your analysis on the chart, and grab a screenshot for your notes. It rewards keyboard use — the essentials are below, and the full shortcut set lives inside the app.

Walkthrough

1Open the Replayer

  • From a session, launch into replay from the Trades page or session view, then pick the trade you want to study.
  • To review one trade directly, open it from its row in the trades table.
  • You land on the chart with a toolbar across the top: playback controls, a speed slider, and the granularity buttons (1min, 5min, 15min, 1h, 4h, 1D).
The Replayer toolbar — playback, speed, and timeframe in one strip.

2Drive the playback

  • Press Space to play or pause. The play button mirrors the same control.
  • Drag the speed slider (1x–16x) to control how fast candles print. Use the step buttons to move one candle at a time when you want to inspect a specific moment.
  • Switch granularity with the timeframe buttons to zoom from the 1-minute story out to the daily.
Spacebar plays and pauses; the slider sets the pace.

3Draw your analysis

  • Drawing tools are on Alt shortcuts — trend lines, rays, horizontals, Fibonacci, and long/short position tools. Toggle magnet snap to lock drawings to candle prices.
  • Standard editing applies: undo, redo, duplicate, and nudge selected drawings with the arrow keys.

INFO
This is the short list. The Replayer's in-app Keyboard shortcuts sheet lists every key — drawing tools, editing, copy/paste between sessions, and more. Open it from the toolbar whenever you need the full reference.

4Capture a screenshot

  • Use the Screenshot button (camera icon) in the toolbar. It offers Download image, Copy image to clipboard, and Open in new tab.
  • Keyboard equivalents: Ctrl + Alt + S downloads a PNG, Ctrl + Shift + S copies the chart to your clipboard.
Capture the annotated chart straight into your review.
TIP
Pause at the decision point, draw what you saw (or missed), then screenshot. That paused-and-annotated frame is the most useful artefact of a review.
